Well Drilling

Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Municipal

Every well is designed with a specific purpose in mind—whether it supplies water to a home, supports an industrial process, sustains a commercial operation, irrigates farmland, or supplies water to an entire municipality. Wells are also frequently used for golf courses and other large public or private properties.

At Greene’s Water Wells, we take the time to fully understand your well’s intended use before providing a quote or beginning service. This allows us to strategize the most effective drilling method for your situation. From a deep or shallow well to air-rotary or mud-rotary drilling, our team has the expertise and equipment to handle the job with precision.

Common wells we install throughout Central Georgia include:

Domestic Wells

For homeowners unable to tap into city water or those looking to supplement municipal water with groundwater for tasks like lawn irrigation and more.

Agricultural Wells

For those who operate hobby farms or large agribusinesses and need to supply water frequently to crops or livestock.

Greene’s Water Wells: Well Drilling Process

Whether we’re drilling a well for residential use or industrial or municipal use, we execute a process  that is driven by expertise and attention to detail:

row settings

Step 1: Same-Day Quote

When you call about well drilling from Greene’s Water Wells, we provide a quote the same day it is requested.

Our quotes include “best-case scenario” pricing, which is the price of the well. Our team uses well record data from thousands of well company well records to formulate a best-case quote for your area. However, no two wells are exactly the same, so our quote includes contingency pricing, including:

  • Price-per-foot for any additional drilling beyond a set depth, or
  • Price-per-foot for any additional casing beyond a set depth or any special pump or component.

For clarity, please note that we formulate each quote with favorable conditions in mind. It’s also vital to remember that no well driller can accurately forecast the precise conditions of a well site. Should the unexpected occur during drilling, such as running into unforeseen geological conditions, the final cost will likely increase.

Step 2: Signed Agreement and Drilling Permits (if Applicable)

Once you sign the proposal, you will need to apply for any necessary permits for well drilling. If you live in an area that requires a drilling permit before work can begin, it’s your responsibility to obtain your own permit—Greene’s Water Wells cannot provide well-permit-application services.

Once the proposal is signed and the necessary permit is obtained, you will be added to our drilling schedule.

Step 3: Site Visit

A few weeks before drilling, we will visit the drill site for a thorough in-person evaluation. Our inspection includes:

  • Mapping out a path for our equipment to access the drill site.
  • Going over the specifics and expectations of the job with you.
  • Taking notes of anything that could create an issue during the drilling phase.

Step 4: Project Phase

The last step in our process is drilling, installation, and completion. We install the casing, pump system, plumbing, and electrical lines. We also complete a final checklist to ensure everything is working as it should.
